Bass and Treble

Thanks for this episode, I love hearing how people record shows... I might have to do one of these myself! I'm curious as to why you attenuate the bass and treble by 6dB? The final episode has a telephone-y feel to it. Would it be possible to get hold of the original file before it's processed?
